Yes that is a very good thing. Some of us never use the MFG for RMA because Newegg is so much faster though. It will just take some thinking for people to decide how they want to handle this, because taking advantage of the rebate will eliminate the 1 year return policy from newegg.

Rep for that mate. I never knew removing the UPC invalidated the warranty with the reseller. I don't like the MIR's as I'm really bad at remembering to post stuff. But I've gone with a few lately as the deals are great. thanks again.

Do you think I am ready to throw it out the window already ? LOL!!

I installed my Pentium D 920 into it with 1gb of memory and my 6600gt and installed XP Pro in about 20 minutes. There are some cpu fan control issues, but other than that it seems like a very nice board. I'm about to install my new Sata Dvd with Lightscribe and see how it handles that.

It definitely heats up and I did install a passive heatsink on the southbridge since there was none. I need a new case and some good fans before I pass judgement on it completely though.

I know that I said I didn't do this anymore, but my curiosity got the best of me. For my Pentium D 920 to go from 800Fsb to 1000Fsb all it took was the fsb change. No voltage change or anything else. It was tooling along at 3.5ghz before I knew it.

Well I'm just thinking if the new X38 delights come out with int he next 3 months and we only paid $70 for the board then it's a nice option.
