Looks like a Standard Q6600 build... don't really see anything to change.

Though someone's gonna tell you to switch out the IDE burner for a Sata. =P

The IDE port is placed really weird on the P5K Deluxe: Fair warning.

Great setup that will be! Post some benchmarks regarding your G0 Q6600 stepping. Umm.. what about a screen? Not sure if you already have on.

I was thinking about it... But it seems that a lot of people have problems booting up with a CD in the drive. Also, I haven't found anything saying that SATA is faster.

Me either, which is why I still have an IDE drive. But the cable barely reached on the P5K deluxe... so watch out!

if he has any issues, he should just buy a longer/round IDE cable. round cables make cable management a lot my sexier anyways

Well, I have a 20X DVD-R SATA drive, and I was able to install Star Wars KOTOR, a 5 disk game, in about 10 minutes, including the disk switching. I didn't have any issues booting to CD the first time (or any time) and CD ripping and writing are both WAY faster for me.

Perfect, except, ditch those 2 optical drives for one Lite-On SATA DVD-R Burner with LightScribe. And, if you want a 2nd drive just pick up one more identical one.

Very similar to my build, which is good.

Do you have a RAID setup?

I've heard mixed reviews about Lite-On... I figured I'm (more) safe with Samsung/LG/Sony NEC
