P5k Deluxe "Overclocking Failed!" error?

post #1 of 4
Thread Starter
How come ANY time i change anything from it's default value in the overclocking options, even the slightest change, the BIOS will POST with an "Overclocking Failed!" error, and the only way to continue to boot is to change the options back to default?

Anybody else get this problem? Is there a way to fix/avoid it?

I have the P5KC and I had the same problem, here is a link to an OC guide for this board, it helped me very much. I don't have that problem anymore. Please put your systems specs in your profile here, it helps us help you. Here is the link;

How much of a change are you making? And where?

I get my P5B-D to 350fsb with barely any change at all, except mostly in the timings, but other than that? Not much.
