Help with temps

Thread Starter
I am having problems with my temp monitoring. My Speedfan core temp is 48 degrees, my Everest temps are 48 degrees at cpu diode, and 34 degrees at cpu. What temp do I have to watch? I have been running stable for months at these temps, but I was monitoring a different temp with Speedfan and thought all was ok. Which is the important one and what is the danger zone.

Temps increase 5 to 10 degrees running prime 95.

Coretemp

This should measure the same as Speedfan. Tell me what CoreTemp reads

Everest seems weird. The CPU should be hotter than the diode itself.

I would trust Speedfan over Everest however CoreTemp is usually better than both. Give it a whirl

Core temp runs the same as Speedfan. Is this too high? Everything runs stable. Prime 95 for 4 hours, max temp at 57 degrees while testing. Should I worry? I brought my voltage down .5 and it didn't change core temp. i am lost.

1) Don't run your voltage over 1.55Vcore on air (not sure what voltage you are running)

2) They are not considerably high due to the fact it is summer.

3) A rule of thumb is to usually keep them below 55C, but 57C is perfectly healthy and will make no difference to 55C on the wide scale. However 60C is pushing it a bit, don't let them reach that temp.

As far as i know the VID is just the Vcore reading.

I am not sure if it is the 'stock' Vcore or what the Vcore is currently at.

But it is nothing to worry about and you don't need to concentrate on it at all

Jon, I would also probably invest in a aftermarket cooler, especially since your overclocking. Good luck
