do you even need that fan in an Antec 900? have you tried to run it without the fan?
I am not sure.. I didn't try without it before. Is the best way to monitor it through the bios? I will take it off and see how it goes.

Ahhh... so I took the fan off.. and booted up...

All of the bios settings were set to weird settings, no it wasn't default.. the NB was at 40c w/o fan (normally 32c w/fan). My CPU is at 36c.. but it's hot in this room at the moment.

The system wouldn't boot, it said I was missing a mouse, but the keyboard worked.. then after I hit F1 to continue the keyboard stopped working and I got disk boot failure. (By the way it worked fine with a PS/2 keyboard and mouse, but not USB wireless). I rebooted again and this time noticed none of my devices were being detected (hard drives, cdrom)... So I reseted the bios to default, and put the fan back on. I had the same problem for a few more boots.. then one time it worked, another try after that it didn't and now I am finally in Windows. My boot time has dramatically increased.. I don't know what's up but i'm thinking the board is not going to last much longer.

easy, buddy. i've seen EVGA 680i's run without the NB cooler. you didn't kill anything. post back and tell us what's happening.

I'm just thinking about taking off the NB and SB coolers and putting down some AS5 and then reinstalling, I've heard they have quite a bit of GUNK underneath them.
