I know around 65-70c is the most u want a CPU temp to be at what about my GFX Card. I want to OC using nTune and I am curious what temps I should watch out for. Right now with 930mhz memory and 640mhz core bus with my idle at 52c and highest temp running 3dmark was 63c. Thanks in advance!

People seem to forget a GPU can withstand ALOT of heat. Im not saying subject it to such things but thought I would point it out.

The 8800 Series is actually fine working at around 85c. You could push it further but I wouldnt reccomend it all that much.

Depends how much your pushing it. However to crash at 71c because of a heat issue does not sound good to me. I was running my card at around 80c most time at full load overclocked and all was good. Keep a watch on your card mate.

use rivatuner it works better and has gpu fan control.

edit: your card shouldnt be crashing at 71c. something might be wrong.

With ATI tool you could always test it with the heatup phase. If it hits 71 and crashes I reccomend RMA'ing that card.
my x1950 GT will do the same thing when overclocked to it's max wihtout voltmodding, crash at around 75 C though, or artifact terribly and then crash. But my card works fine and overclocks pretty well from 500 MHz core to 621 MHz, and 1200 MHz mem to 1500 MHz mem, and is 100% 10+ hour artifact free with ATI Tool and ATI Tray.

the 8800GTX GPU is graded for 105 degrees... mind you I'd personally never have it that high... l'd personally keep it under 90 although mines on water and is half that...
