Quantum Computers really aren't suited to home usage. Their power does not lie in areas that would greatly benefit every day tasks. Mainly they are useful for testing large numbers of possible solutions at a time.
I understand your point but I see alot of potential for quantum computers, though at the moment I'm more interested in how the hell they'd code software to use the technology in the first place. When you look at the lazyness that goes into codeing some modern day applications today, I can't you imagine how much more complex it would be to code programs that utilise quantum technology.
