Ok started OC'ing today. PC seems pretty stable @ 3239MHz 360 x 9 multiplier w/ 1.36V.
RAM is @ 1080MHz w 1.9V..going to start testing soon Prime, Orthos, etc. I wanna bump it up to 3.4GHz, but every time I've tried I get BSOD. Using EasyTune5 and CMOS adjusting accordingly to stability at the moment. This pretty good so far for first time OC'ing?? Let me know!!

I'd knock down the FSB : DRAM ratio to 1:1, then after you've settled on a processor final clock speed, overclock the ram afterwards

Well I tried doing some tests and they failed, so I'm gonna back it off quite a bit and start over going little by little. Here is the options of my MB Intelligent Tweaker (M.I.T.)

Robust Graphics Booster - Auto, Fast, Turbo.
CPU Clock Ratio - 6x,7x,8x,9x.
CPU Host Clock Control - Disable, Enable.
CPU Host Frequency (MHz) - 266, can go up to 700.
PCI Express Frequency (MHz) - Auto, 90-150.
System Memory Multiplier (SPD) - Auto, x2.5, x3.0.
Memory Frequency (MHz) - Set by CPU Host Freq and System Memory Multiplier.
High Speed DRAM DLL Settings - Option 1, Option 2.
System Voltage Control - Auto, Manual.
DDR2 OverVoltage Control - Normal, +0.1V to +0.4V at 0.1V increments.
FSB OverVoltage Control - Normal, +0.1V to +0.3V at 0.1V increments.
(G)MCH OverVoltage Control - Normal, +0.1V to +0.3V at 0.1V increments.
CPU Voltage Control - Selectable Voltages.
Normal CPU Vcore - Displays Default Voltage.

I'm not sure if I should be messing with the Voltages just yet, since I am still new at this. I didn't really know where to start, so I started at 333MHz x9 and started working up til I couldn't boot up anymore. Then backed it down alittle bit, still at 3.2GHz but Orthos and Prime haulted and stopped. Going to back it down to 333MHz x9 and see where that puts the RAM Freq, FSB would be 1333MHz, at should be pretty close to 1:1 ratio. I really want to get 1GHz OC out of the CPU.

Ok, backed it down to 333MHz x6 Multiplier (swore it was 9 in M.I.T.) running approx 2.99GHz started Orthos and Prime. Doing good so far, what else would I have to tweak to get it over 3.0GHz? CPU-z is showing only 1998MHz, jumps up to 2998MHz rarely, but everything else is saying 2998MHz Orthos, PC Wizard 07, and EasyTune 5. Any other testing programs I should be using?

While you're overclocking, disable EIST and C1E in your BIOS (link in my sig describes exactly how). This willl keep it at 333*9, or essentially 3GHz. Set the 'System Memory Multiplier' to 2.0, which is 1:1 with your FSB. Set the timings and voltages according to the stock (should be on the memory's heatspreaders, or on the manufacturer's website). Set the (G)MCH and FSB Overvoltage controls to +.1v each, and test with Orthos.

Thanks afzsom!! Checked out the FAQ, I know exactly what your talking about now! Almost done with the testing, after it's done testing my current setup then I'll go in and disable those two settings and retest for stability. Will set the voltage to 1.8V, someone on newegg.com posted results of 4-4-4-12 with that voltage and also 2.0V will give same timings, according to him. We'll have to see about that though. Will post some more results, do not currently have it connected to the internet right now, as soon as it's stable I will switch out my computers and get it connected, will save a screenie on it though to post here in the forums! Thanks to everyone who has helped! Couldn't have done it without you!! WooT!

Ok Disabled C1E and EIST, seemed pretty stable 3.0GHz 333 x9 but was still 3:2 ratio, that was 3.0 RAM multiplier though, so I'll try 2.5 Multiplier. Going to reboot and test with Orthos.

Best to run at a 2.0 memory multiplier

During overclocking, keep it at a 2.0 multiplier, but when you're finished with the CPU side of it, start increasing the memory multiplier to OC the ram.

Well I hit Ctrl+F1 in BIOS and it unlocked a bunch of new stuff, don't know what half of it is, but RAM timings and CAS latency, something about GTLREF Ratio or something, and rTD i think? Had gotten an error in windows today that I've never seen. C:\\Windows\\System32\\config\\systemprofiles\\Des ktop is unavailable and maybe be located in a different location on your hard disk. Something like that, I was unable to repair it, due to not being able to open most of the stuff on my computer, getting other errors as well. Got Memtest, was running it until a fuse blew on the breaker my computer is on. So I have to redo the Memtest and re-install the OS. Once that gets done then I'll leave it at 333MHz x9 that will give me approx 3.0GHz, pretty close. If I get that stable then I'll be happy if having no more problems. FSB Freq is 100-700 and Multiplier is 6-9, But I'm not going to even try 700MHz x9, NOOO WAY...I don't want to fry it...

lol, putting 700 * 9 wouldn't fry your cpu ( you pc probably wouldn't post also if your cpu gets too hot it will shut down automatically and with a gigabyte mobo it should auto reset to stock settings if it doesn't post) .... 700*9 plus 10v's to your cpu will allow us to see mini 4th of july.
