Weird Stuff whenever I play shooters

Thread Starter
I play FEAR Combat often and I've noticed this happens alot, i just never got around to mentioning it. Whenever I play it just screws up, basically I'll see triangles everywhere like in doorways or just random places. Like if I look through a door there'll be a triangle piece of skin from like a wall nearby. I can sometimes see through walls cuz there's a piece missing cuz it's been put somewhere else. I've also gotten this problem on Battlefield 2. I've unplugged and plugged back in my video card and even reinstalled drivers but that just fixes it temporarily, the problem still persists. The only thing I can think of is that my motherboard supports AGP 4X and my 6600GT is 8X but that shouldn't be a prob should it?

I've also posted some pics and hopefully you can see what I'm talking about.

Oh and this seems to happen only on FPS, (although I've only tested it with FEAR Combat and Battlefield) but games like Guild Wars, Age of Mythology, Battle for Middle Earth, etc. work just fine.

Any help resolving this issue would be much appreciated.

Artifacts.

I would say it's a video card issue.

looks like you're playing on a laptop? you have to do whatever you can to keep temps down. i don't know if those little lapfan things work or not. try setting it on a desk with a book beneath the back feet. that should let it breathe better. the air intake on laptops are on the bottom.

Definitely driver conflict.

Use Driver Cleaner and reinstall drivers

Reboot to safe mode and uninstall old driver, then use driver cleaner to clean the rest of the junk.
Reinstall drivers and reboot.

Hope this helps
