7900gt overclock not stable :(

Thread Starter
Hi

I did some overclocking on my xfx 7900gt xxx version ( 470/685) via ati tool and was at 500 mhz core and 800mhz mem no artifacts on artifact scanning but on BF2 was having lots of artifacts, temps are fine around 45 C load, what is wrong? Is it just bad chip?

edit: oops wrong section admins please move

If you OC too far the first thing youre likely to see is some bad artifacting.

Drop the memory speed down and try again, if its still doing it wind the core back slightly too.

I will be in new zealand at the end of the year as part of my 2 month holiday, taking in 11 countries!
