Vdroop, Anything I can do??

I'm experiencing Vdroops with my board, to compensate for that I have to sent 1.55V through my chip. Now the question is, will the motherboard fail to handle that kinds of voltage or the chip??

Its an Asus board with nForce 4chipset.

hm, mine is perfectly stable at 1.55v

im not sure if you need more voltage.. the vdroop may not even be affecting it

So do you run your chip @ 1.55 all time?? or just for benchmarks? The Vdroop hinders my chip to pass 4Ghz, but 3.73 is stable for me to game, (100% CPU load with Overlord & Supreme Commander)

you you sure you need that much voltage it could be ram or chipset limitation

I've checked on the voltage under heavy load, its like 1.42V, but then, it requires 1.55 to get to where I'm now. I'm sure my memory are not the problem for me, but the Chipset on my mobo might be. Since its an nForce 4 chipset, I don't have much hope to get it over 4Gs.

I have quite horrendous vdroop too and will be experimenting with a pencil mod I found for my motherboard this weekend. Maybe do a search for "pencil mod" and your motherboard.
