Thread Starter
hi i have a dell described below and its showing its age. i know you can overclock with bios mods and programs such as clockgen But...... none work and i cant pin mod it because it already has the 533 fsb setting not 400 so you cant trick it like a celeron anyone who can offer a little insight it would be appreciated

do NOT overclock a laptop, they are inadequately cooled as it is, all you'll do it kill it.

yeah its 479 based and it only runs 53'C under full load so there is a little headroom , before i had the heatsink lapped it ran anywhere from 65-85 and dell told me that was normal so i figure as long as i dont exceed that then its ok but how can i do it

i was wondering on my inspiron 6000 why i get half the speed of my processor? is there a way to change this, maybe a modded bios or something?

my temps are 30 celsius normally and around 35 to 37 under load and i heard inspirons can withstand more heat than that.
