Kudos and rep to you SpaceGoast for making this log.

I have a few questions about the p180/2 case in general

(taken from new egg)
Quote:
Antec's thoughtfully-designed case brings you not only top performance but unique style, with its striking gun metal stainless steel exterior. The interior features a separate lower chamber with its own 120 mm TriCool fan, to house your power supply (purchased separately), isolating heat, and reducing system noise. The upper chamber comes standard with rear and top 120 mm TriCool fans, and spaces for an optional front 120 mm fan, and a middle 120 mm fan to cool your VGA. The three-layer side panel and front door stifle system noise, and the door opens 270-degrees for easy access.
Where is this optional space at!? I can't seem to find it.

I have a few more questions, but my brain can not think right now as its 2 AM and i haven't slept in like 3 days

Edit - thought of some more questions

1. is the mobo tray removeable? If so, can someone (anyone) take a picture of the tray and a picture of the case with the tray out?

2. Where did you file for the front case cables (HDD,Power etc) at?

You can have two 120mm intake fans without modding the case at all. These are all of the places for mounting fans in the case...the middle black box is for a fan that mounts on the back of the box which goes there. I have the box removed at the moment. The fan is held on with two clippy things.

1. The mobo tray is not removable.

2. I don't get the question. lol

for your first question, here is the best pic i have of my case that shows the optional space with the fan in the front:

mobo tray is not removable either. and for your last question i have another pic below of the area that i filed down:

see where all those wires are shoved in there? actually you can also see it in the first picture too. later i used a dremel and made it a lot bigger to make more room for the wires, but i cant find the pic for it. i will look for it more. hope this helps a little

spacegoast,

I don't have any tips for you because I think it's a superb mod job you've done. May I ask what drill you used? I've just put my first build together with the P182 and the wires are so messy, I will have to find ways to hide it. You give me some great ideas but the hardest part I suppose would be cutting the holes in the back.
