heya once again spacegoast
I finally got my P182, looked it over, and have a few questions (again), I might be repeating a few, but thats only to make sure im on the right track.
Ok, of course before painting the case...you need to take the damn thing apart. I looked around and see that the only parts i wont be able to get out are the sliding trays between the 2 chambers (i think), the rubber feet underneath, the pads that press against the side panel and the top (the top seems to be glued on, but i read on another forum somewhere that they DID remove it B4 painting....but how do u get it back then...forgot where i read it
and IF u rip the top off and the feet....what glue do u use to put it back?)
Is there a way that i can remove these parts or should i just tape them up??
I have decided to just sandblast the whole thing clean, my cousin was kind enough to help me out and let me use his sandblaster.
ok...to the painting, I read somewhere that acid etching primer is a good way to go. and you suggest bumper/automotive spray. Check.
ok....spray on first coat of primer....wait HOW LONG?
spray next coat of primer....wait HOW LONG??
(do that 3 times....or mabey a 4th to be safe
Then spray on paint... first layer and wait....HOW LONG??
(do this also 3/4 times)
Then wait how long before putting it all back together?
any and all help is appreciated
