Cant overclock via BIOS ?!?!?!

Thread Starter
Ummm i kinda have a problem. when i go inot my bios i dont see anything overclocking related. the only options i can change are ram related. on the first page i do see stuff about my processor and frequencies but they are not selectable. i dont have an HP or dell but i did by it from a computer store in canada. it was a prebuilt system but....would they have really done something to the bios? is it possible that i just cant overclock from bios? oooo and forgot to mention one very inportant thing...my mobo is an old "intel D845BG"

PS if it matters, not sure if its related to this at all but i have overclocked my video card before. just saying this to let you know that i have overclocked something on my system.

Looks like an old OEM motherboard (no AGP/PCIe, socket478). If the BIOS doesn't have the options, there is nothing much you can really do.
Once again...

Intel does not include things like overclocking controls in their motherboard's CMOS Setup. You might try Clockgen to overclock a tad, but it's software OCing and not too good.

As with any overclocking be mindful you take it slowly so you don't harm anything.

My fault... it has a 4x/2x AGP slot. This is still a very old board.... it probably came out 6-8 yrs ago? If there no options, just leave it be is my advice.
