Would you guys go with 2 2900XT GPUs or 2 Ultra 8800s? (performance wise, not money wise)

For what? Benchmarks? Gaming?

I think you know my answer to that one.

They're both very good ideas, but the 8800 Ultra's would outperform the 2900XT's. Unfortunately, they'll also cost about $200 more, so it really depends on your budget.

With this type of decision, I feel that it comes down to a manufacturer preference. How could you go wrong with that much graphics power no matter what you're looking for?

Overall, I mean I like getting good benchmarks but games is the biggest one of course. Hehe yea I can guess your answer. I got two 8800 Ultra XXX that I'm waiting for the asus blitz extreme to put in and just checking out now the crossfire and how the dual 8x is supposed to be considerably better so before I install these cards wanted to see if I should have gone with the "other guys."

I like nVidia more due to their reliability. I had some major ATI issues in the past.

I'm gonna go ahead and say it.

I think two 8800Ultras will out perform two 2900XTs in the majority of games and benchmarks.

Don't be afraid to prove me wrong.
