Grats on your new system! I wish I has money for a quad core. Show us the OC you can get with it, theres a good chance you get a G0 so that should be good.

Oh hmm if you plan to overclock I recomend you check for a better heatsink than the Intel retail one, it suck. You can probably get one at a local computer shop.

Hey let`s say....I have an infinite supply of software, or in other words, I have access to any software on the market, which ones are needed to verify a good OC, like stability and what not, there`s a lot of great OC tuts around these forums, but none on software, well none that I found that exactly detail what every software does and does not do.

That, and any other good software to keep a computer clean and organized and whatnot.

Hey bro

Chozart's suggestion on the PSU was a good one... that one seems weak to me, especially if you ever want to expand.

However quad-core is a must, as I believe 3ds is multi-treaded (??) but I'm not sure.

Anyways, you have too much money to waste lol Great gig... I'll come over and play on it when it's done

Hey, i changed some parts to it, I need a review of the PSU...

EVGA E-GEFORCE 8800GTS 500MHZ 640MB 1.6GHZ changed to ->>>>

BFG GeForce 8800GTX OC 600MHZ 768MB 1.8GHZ GDDR3

Is the PSU strong enough? Should I order a new one and sell my old new one?

Ex:Corsair CMPSU-620HX 620W ATX Triple 12V 50A 24PIN ATX Modular Power Supply 120MM Fan 2X PCI-E http://www.ncix.com/products/index.p...R&promoid=1001

instead?

You'll be fine with the 520W Corsair. That PSU has enough current on the 12V rails.

If you haven't bought the PSU yet, in that case to opt for the 620W Corsair or the 650W Silverstone OP650 (my best pick).

But if you have the 520W Corsair already, just stick with it. It delivers 40A on the 12V rails, which is nothing to sneeze at.

Ya Chozart, I'd go for a stronger one too, leaving room for future expansion. I can't believe you're getting the 8800 gtx >.<

Better off with too much than too little

I've got 700W with OCZ (although Chozart dissaprove of the GameXtream series ) and I don't regret it in the least .. I've got more than I need though and I know it

Food for thought:

Instead of getting the GTX over the GTS (I wouldn't even get the latter... I'd get an 8600 and then upgrade most likely ) .. Why don't you use the price difference to get an LCD? You have an old CRT like mine right?

Also consider getting a sound card to take the load off your processor ... though that rig won't need the help

Edit: I don't see hard drives.. what are you going to do for those? I suggest getting some nice Sata ones and putting them in Raid 0... At least 2 ... 4 starts getting pricey lol

Well the GTS is BO, and they have no definite date for when they will ship it, so in other words, f*** that s***...lol

So GTX coming, and...I might get an LCD anyway, I've got spare money..more than I thought I would have. I was looking at...

Samsung SyncMaster 206BW 20IN

A bit pricey but combined with my old monitor, i'll have dual screen, 1 that's 16:9 and the other 4:3...I'll be able to do anything with both, games or surfing or 3ds...but...it is pricey...and I don't want to have more than I can handle, already I need to put the whole computer together..that's going to take some time and I don't want to rush it. Btw, bro, ure welcome to come over and play it anytime I'm not home which is going to be often, and if I move in with nona for the football season, it's gonna be even closer for you to come visit and play on it lol.
