Well disregarding clock speed a quad core has more power to it due to the exra cores you have to utilize. Your rig owns though so dont worry about it too much.

Ya no matter how rich you are...stay with what you have and wait for intels 45nm or AMDs Phenom. Too much great technology is coming out soon to even bother with something you wont see a difference in.

Qx6850 is the fastest but you probably wont find one I'm not sure if they have been shipped to stores to buy.

Next fastest is the QX6800 its been released awhile back but its very very hard to find

Finally, the QX6700 is very fast also and much easier to find
