225bw

Thread Starter
I just received my Samsung SyncMaster 225bw from xfire. So heres the story on how I won it. I was playing CS:S in the Ridiculously Long Lasting Stride xFire Cup on June 19th my birthday. The next day, I'm on xfire and one of the x6 pros messages me and asks me a bunch of questions to make sure I'm eligible, but I'm not making the connection. So then he says, you've won a 22 inch LCD monitor. I was in disbelief. Right after I had to go start rubbing it into my friends face because a few weeks ago he asked me why I even bothered playing in those events because you'll never win. I just told him you never know. So then I fill out the confirmation form and I'm suppose to wait 2 weeks to recieve an email and then another 6-8 weeks to receive my prize. So 2 weeks comes and no email and I was like ***. 3 weeks come and no email so I'm wondering if this was a scam. Then 3 1/2 weeks come and I receive the email. I'm then asked to fill out all these forms and then sign them, scan them and send them back. As I was looking through the forms, I was asked to fill in my SSN. I'm like o dear, why do they need my SSN. So I then talk to the people in charge of this in why they need my SSN. They said it was because the prize was worth more than $250 and they wanted to make sure your a citizen of the USA. So I said what the hell and I filled out the forms and sent them back. So I receive my tracking number and it's 2 day shipping. So yesterday it was 1 day after it was shipped and I was in the basement and my sister was in the shower. DHL came to the door and no one heard them nor did my dog so they just left a note and said they would be back the next day because they needed a signature for the package. I was sooo pissed at myself, my sister, my dog, and DHL. My dog failed me. Shes suppose to bark everytime someone comes to the door to let me know someones there. But in the end, it wasn't a big deal because I got my monitor for free and I get to proove my friend wrong that just because your chances of winning something are very small, there is that little chance that it can happen.
