Is 8246 a normal score with no OC for the system in my sig?

I just want to know cuz i just upgraded. I'll oc pretty soon, it's just that i want to know if i should return anything.

SM2 was 3761
HDR/SM3 was 4242
CPU was 1653

Is the CPU score too low?

Yeah thats about right for an un-overclocked system. Be happy it's about the same as an overclocked AMD system haha.

Your CPU score looks pretty good if you aren't overclocked, as does your overall score. You won't get over 3000 with that CPU for sure, so most of the point increase will come with a GPU overclock. Check out my FAQ on overclocking effects on benchmark scores (link in signature) to see how your score will change.

Alright thanks, i'll overclock and see how much improvement over the stock settings will bring me. I'm hoping at least 30% increase, but we'll see.

Well I just did a quick OC. I got my fsb to 455 giving me 3185 mhz core speed.
I ran 3dmark06 and had no problems.
Thing is, my score upped to 11402.

SM3 became 5145
HDR became 5140
CPU went to 2780

I didn't OC the GPU though cuz i need to upgrade my psu. But i was surprised by the amount of increase that happened. So would my score increase more if i overclock the GPU?

I would think so, unless your CPU is bottlenecking your GPU.
