My first budget build... - Page 3

Here. The build you have in the first post is better I guess, although I rather you change your PSU. 1 thing is you don't want to skimp on your PSU too much.

I would only get 667 mhz ram due to the multi of the brisbane, at 667 mhz the cpu would be at 3.16 (9.5 * 333)

If you're unsure what OS to get, and don't really see yourself getting Vista in the near future, don't bother with the 8800GTS. I imaging one of the 7 series cards will be just as good, but without DX10... which you won't be able to do without Vista.

Everything else looks good.

Good rig, except those prices are after rebates, going open box on a mobo isn't too great since it will be missing a lot of accessories and most important it might not include the I/O shield not to mention that it might not oc too good.

Well, I did give prices before AND after MIR. By the way, they cant sell a mobo without an I/O shield, hence why they wont take motherboards back from RMA without i/o shields. ( i know NCIX doesnt, but I would guess newegg doesnt either...)

What "accessories" would he need? aside from IDE cables and sata cables (which preety much we all have old ones lying around), nothing else comes to mind.)
But oh well, we can go with Gigabypte GA-P35-S3L for the same price at RETAIL
