X2 3600 vs X2 4000

Is it woth the extra $10 for the 4000 if I plan on overclocking? I am assuming it is just a multiplier difference.

If it's the CZ 4000+ then it's not just the multi.
Its 2X1 L2, 90nm, 65W.
And yes it's better than 3600, because it has lower latency(90nm) and double cache wich gives you ~200MHz performance advantage over the 360@same clocks.

personally i would get the 3600 X2 if you plan on overclocking but thats just me. call me an underdog fanboy if you wish

The only difference is the multi, which is locked, so the 4000 would be a smidge better.

Well, the way i see it is I have a chance to "fine tune" an OC with the extra multi. For that money, it looks worth it. Thanks for the relpy.

you might just wanna buy a higher clocked one to begin with.... like a 4600 or 4800, youll have no problem with overclocking them almost to 3Ghz with decent cooling
