anyone know why my processor is at 1.6 rather than 2.4? is it because of the voltage? let me know. thanks.

Make sure SpeedStep is turned off as well as any thermal throttling. Do this in the BIOS.

You need to disable Speed Stepping and C1E in Bios. Just search around in your bios and you should find them.

its actually running how it should, c1e and speed stepping just drop the multiplier during idle to reduce heat, reduce energy consumption, extend life, of youe quad

My Speed stepping is already disabled in my BIOS. It could possibly be already disabled in yours as well. What is CPU-Z showing now that C1E is disabled? Anyways Speed Stepping should be under CPU options or something like that.
