going from 9x to 8x help.

ok guyz in my bios you cannot change the fsb to increase ur cpu speed


example right now

im at 1560 to get to 3.5ghz w/a fsb of 399.


since i cant change the fsb to 437 which will = 3.5ghz at 8x multiplier...

i have to change my 1560 .. now the question is


what do i change the 1560 to.. to get to.... 437fsb and 3.5ghz


sorry if this was complicated.. im new to this crap

I'm pretty sure you should be able to change your FSB with that board. I think on some boards ctrl+F1 opens the advanced options?

That would be 1748. But don't do it all at once. And don't be surprised if you don't get there without some other tweaking. There is a thread specifically about that motherboard on here somewhere and I'd suggest you go there and read.
