Ah yea I forgot you were having that problem. Did you try flashing the BIOS to 0204? It's good to see someone else with the P5K Premium to compare to

Well if you're happy with your OC, there's probably no reason to flash it

If you want to go for more down the road you can try 0204 and see if it helps.. If it doesn't help or you can't get as good OC with 0204 you can always flash back down to 0102.

In the future if you do try it, I'd like to hear which one you get better results with. I never tried 0102, I flashed mine to 0204 on first boot. Usually the first BIOS rev is not very stable. 0204 was released only a couple weeks after which signals to me they tweaked or added a few things for stability.

that was half the reason i bought the F-ing premium was because its just a deluxe with a few more capacitors and i figured the bios would be the most updated deluxe version

oh well, and im having toruble again, everytime i do anything to my pc (like move it on the desk or reinstall a card) i have to slowly step back up my oc again, its retarded though because once im there its 100% stable w/ no booting problems but now its giving me **** again (because i installed a new monitor and ****ed with it)

I hear ya. I RMA'd my DLX and got the Premium. Figgered it was made to handle quads better. But I know the BIOS isn't the same as the deluxe. Can't remember exactly what is missing since I'm at work right now, but I know the 0204 Premium BIOS is missing a couple of little things that the 0404 Deluxe bios had. I'm sure there will be a new Premium bios out before too long, but right now there's not even a beta version up.

If I were you I'd go get a $10 USB key drive and flash that sucka to 0204 and see. I'd be willing to bet it'll work better for you.

I flashed in windows before and it scared the crap out of me, I've heard to many horror stories of XP flashes going wrong.

If you have a Fat32 partition (the same as whats on a USB flash drive) you can put the new bios file on that partition and then flash it from the bios with ez-flash. I've done this a few times and it worked perfectly, and is very easy.
