Polycarbonate case.

Thinking of going with an all polycarbonate case. I would think it should run cooler than most metal cases and they are easily upgradeable with more fans if needed. Anyone have any pros and cons about them here?

Go for the thicker plastic..they scratch, get dusty and show it, attract dust too from static..but they look great as long as you are careful. The Sunbeam UFO is a winner IMO.
Performance-PCs.com has a "handcrafted" logisys that might be better than some--and it is preassembled.
Of anything they would run hotter because plastic is somewhat more of an insulator than steel and aluminum is actually the best as it dissipates heat.

I should also mention that I am mounting the PSU outside the case and running another fan there. I have stacks of working fans from burnt out PSUs.

I was just going to get a standard poly case and cut holes in it and put in various fans maybe even go water cooling with radiators mounted to the side of the case with fans.

Its nice but pricy. I should look around for prices because thats what i was kind of envisioning. I heard once heat hits them they get real shiny and clear.
