If it's an OEM system you're pretty much stuck. You can attempt a BIOS flash to another version, but you are more likely to kill it from that.

Yep, if it's an OEM machine like a gateway, dell, hp, emachines ect ect, the bios usually doesn't allow overclocking. Your best bet is to purchase a motherboard that supports your current processor and memory, after that then you should be able to overclock. Good luck.

hmm, everst always identified my ECS boards as pcchips. you mihgt be able to get a small overclock, look in the bios. also

please fill in your system spec sig rig
big is important right?
