First Overclock Build Need Feedback!(Final Parts in first post)

Thread Starter
Believe it or not, this is my first overclocking build, and experience. I'm still not sure whether or not this is going to happen.

First of all, I need to sell my laptop. ALL the money for this build is coming from that, I have nothing else. That also means this build is going to be very very cheap!

One other issue is I need to find how much my laptop is worth. It runs perfectly, and retailed when I bought it at $1,600. Here is the appraisal thread.

Now, here is the link to my Newegg list. I'm an Intel fan, but if Amd is cheaper I will reconsider. I don't play any games, except for the occasional CS 1.6. That's not a problem since my old MX440 handled it perfectly.

One note:
This needs to be cheap!
Skimming out on anything would be great, because right now those prices are without a monitor! I will keep looking in for sale threads for cheaper hardware, because I need to save every penny. I'm guessing my laptop will sell for $600. So the rig needs to be as cheap as possible. I guess I could find a crap CRT on craigslist until Christmas.

Thanks everyone!

Edit: I know I forgot a heatsink, I can get that any other time. I will most likely only be overclocking this rig a little bit, since the ram isn't too great either. Remember, I've been using this laptop and a stock HP for 4 years, anything is an improvement!

Update!
This is the final parts list, tell me if its good, I need to get as cheap as possible!

Another thing I wanted to know is if i need 2 cd drives, for dual layer burning? Will 1 be good enough? If so, which one.

Sorry for double post, I'm excited!

I am not sure about the dual-layer thing, I always just used the one burner drive, but I never did any dual-layer DVD's, so maybe I don't know what I am talking about. Do you have a time frame of when you are going to be ordering after the laptop sells? I might be able to help you out with a couple things.

You'll just need one DVD burner that supports Dual Layer, which that one does.

Looks like a decent budget build.

One thing I'm contemplating is the motherboard, is there anything better?

And is there anything I could skimp on?

RyGuy: I would be buying this stuff when my laptop gets sold. I have not put it up for sale yet because I haven't gotten enough appraisals.

Also, I'm not going to waste money on Dual Layer if I dont need it. I just got used to it from my HP rig. If its not dual layer, do you just put a cd in, program saves it, then burns it on another cd?

Yeah, it just makes an ISO and then burns it after you change the disc, I just did it today with a Linux DVD on my laptop.

If you can afford it there is this P35 board for a bit under $90 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128057

Or you can get an open box board

There is always AMD with a $60 Brisbane....

YGPM Retro. I offered him my E6400 and GeForce 6500, which I think would be better/cheaper than the CPU/GFX combo he has listed (for what he will use it for; CS 1.6 and Folding). The Brisbane is a good option too though.
