Crucial 8500's 4gigs oced

Hey guys I was watching some chappel show and decided to run a few test. Got this stuff to work at 540 with 1T 5-5-5-15 with 2.16vdimm, this translate to about 2.19 or so real as detected with multi meter.

Not the super stability test but good enough for now. Now remember this is with 4x1gb sticks and its in vista so the super pi is a little slow to what were use to.

Wow... very nice. Those are those chips that were like $80 per 2GB kit at one point... I am jealous!

Yeah I didnt get that deal (should have that was great) but I got these for about $130 for 2 gig sets so 260 total for the four gigs.
With just 2 gigs in they really shine but since I use all four figured I would just do 4 gig testing.

I got my 4GB of DDR2-800 HZ for $190 ($95 per kit). Great deal at the time. I haven't even tried to overclock them much. I hear they overclock well though. Memory has too short of a lifespan IMHO to overclock. I like to keep mine low voltage.

Agreed, the HZ can handle a little higher voltage then these 8500's. I wouldnt run over 2.2vdimm for 24/7. The HZ I would do 2.3 for 24/7 tops. The HZ are the same as my crucial 800's and they did great at 2.3 for long periods of time (they still work fine) but I only ran above 2.3 for testing and benching and I allways had fans blowing on them.

I went through 2 kicks of Ballistixs DDR2-1000 running at 2.2V and 2.3V. Thats when I decided it wasn't worth running them that high. I keep mine at or below 2.2V. (1.8V right now)

Hmm, is the 1T command rate available in one of those beta BIOSes I haven't flashed to yet? If so, maybe I oughta get caught up soon.

Thats a bummer, maybe the mobo was overvolting them a bit. I checked with a multi meter a while back and found my ip35 pro overvolts by a bit. I never checked with the quadgt I dont think. May be worth looking into.

The Abit boards support it. At least the QuadGT and the IP35.

How does that IP35 run? Better than the QuadGT? How is the BIOS and driver support?
