The E6850 G0 Thread - Page 15

Hey all,

I have hit my upper limit, 3851 MHz. is the highest stable OC that I can get with my set up.

428 x 9 = 3851 MHz.
Vcore- 1.525 Bios, Actual is 1.520 After Vdroop pencil mod. PICS. http://www.overclock.net/intel-mothe...5b-deluxe.html

Temps. IDLE- 33c, Load- 69c, Ambient room temp- 20c.

RAM running at 856 MHz. 1:1 divider, steppings, 4-4-4-12. Mem volts at 2.150

7 Hrs. Orthos stable.

I can't really understabd why the load temps are so high at that voltage, I have lapped both CPU and Tuniq. Both are razor flat with a small amount of AS5.

I will continue to believe that the t junction on these chips is still the same. There is no reason for me to believe otherwise. I get room temp idles and 45c load on a 240 + 120 GTX rad setup. Feeling the block at idle is air temp, there is no way that my idle is 30c, it does not work out. Also, that would make my load 60c or so, not even close, my rads are cool to the touch and the block is just warm.

At the moment I managed 4.266GHz stable with 1.55vcore. I'll see what I can get with 1.6 maybe this weekend.

This is using my Vapochill XE.

Finally got mine to 4.0GHz with very low timings as well. 890 @ 4-4-4-12 2.0V not bad for $69.00 for 2GBS of ram.

I was considering a Q6600 or a Q6700 before. Some are B3, some g0. All of the Q6700 are g0.

After reading many reviews on the E6850, I think the E6850 would be a better choice. Are all the E6850 CPUs g0?

Still climbing and Ocing on mine 4.1GHz. My e6850 is starting to need more and more Voltage, but my memory only needs 2.0 so far... Crucial Ballistix PC6400 at 456x2=912 @ 4-4-3-8 2T only 2.0V My temps are fine under Prime and Orthos, nothing over 45c under loads. I am hoping to break the 11sec mark on SuperPi 1M.. I think my Corsair HX620 PSU is not giving me the full 12V it show only 10.61V seems low or wrong readings..
