I'm finding it rather entertaining, as many people are clearly proving they don't know as much about a Mac (or the company Apple) as they think they know.

Second, you're skirting the issue, and pretty much proving me right: you can't match the specs to a t and come out any less for the price.

You're pretty much wrong, and the only people backing you are those that know nothing about what they're talking about.

MATCH MY SPECS. Down to the Bluetooth since you wanna get technical, then come back to me.

Oh, and like I said, don't play the Fanboy card with me. It's no excuse for your blatant ignorance on the subject or your childish approach.

And I build a better laptop for $900 less based on those specs. Don't get pissy at me because you are too lazy to post the complete specs of your laptop.

How am I ignorant? I'm not the one defending an overpriced laptop. I matched the specs, and you were wrong. GET OVER IT. Quit arguing, it makes you look like a fanboy of overpriced mac hardware. Guruboy had a really good point. You should be defending the OSX because for a mac, thats about all you can do. Price to performace, in hardware, you will never see a mac win.

Audi, adding BT support to a Dell laptop costs between $35 and $50, depending on the model. It doesn't make that big of a difference in the price.

You can't even match 2.4Ghz. Lol. Know why? Cause Dell doesn't offer it directly.

http://www.apple.com/macbookpro/specs.html

Match my 15.4" 2.4Ghz Specs, Bring it in under my configuration and I'll paypal you money. I'll also get rid of my Macbook and go back to whatever system you've put together.

Til' then, you're branded as ignorant on the subject. You couldn't break down any single piece of Mac Hardware and call it over priced. That's the challenge I'm issuing to you.

Try it with an iMac, try it with a Mac Pro, try it with a Macbook or Macbook Pro. You CAN'T do it and you'll end up attempting to justify it with faster HDD's, when I just ask you to please match the EXACT specs for a lower price.

OS X isn't even that great, in the first place. In FACT, I would NOT OWN A MACBOOK IF IT WEREN'T FOR FINAL CUT STUDIO 2!!! I would have NO reason to even USE OS X at ALL.

The more you use the word fanboy, the more you prove that you know little on the subject and are retorting to adolescent defenses such as... name calling 101.

<33 Love.

Guru-- Adding COMPLETE bluetooth support on a dell costs about 100+ when I bought and promptly returned four days later.

Realistically, the only reason why anyone hates on Apple products is because of the price tag.

Which pretty much makes you sound like a beggar to begin with.
True the price is higher for less spec'd out hardware. Who cares? I don't.

My dislike is the average mac user who.. well just can't **** about how great there mac is and how it never breaks or messes up... when they have there fair share of issues

Match it exactly and show me a lower price.

Problem is, the price isn't low enough to justify any arguement that Apple's are overpriced. Nor are they when you compare a Mac Pro to a Dell Workstation-- which they both are.

With EVERYTHING that the Macbook is and comes with (two computers in one. Window and OS X capabilities, solid build, webcam, etc)... it's priced right.

With EVERYTHING a Mac Pro is (Pure workstation horsepower) ... it's priced right.
Hmm, true, 200mhz is 200mhz. And 500mhz G4 CPU is $80.

But how is $900 not allot of money?

Also, name one thing a Mac pro can do my sig rig can't?

What is the macbook? It's a computer, what's the Dell? It's a computer. When you start to talk about mac's like they are the overlords of the computer word, people start to dislike you. This also proves my point of why I dislike mac's.[/QUOTE]

It's not two computers in one. It's one computer that can dual boot. Whoohoo. I can also run linux on my PC, and I can play games.

So he's stupid for selecting a laptop that run's hotter? I admit Mootsfox is trying to hard, there is no way to convince you you're hardware is average for a PC user.

E6600 does not cost $900, so you could (if you're IQ is higher then 13) upgrade the CPU yourself

"white piece of crap". Welcome to Middle School.
I had a nice mac back in middle school, was not bad. I liked my PC better, but, I play games. I don't just look at images and listen to music.

So just admit it. Mac is not god, you're hardware is expensive for what it is.

And if you disagree with me, prove it. Find me a PC from a reputable OEM dealer that cost more then your laptop... Oh wait, it's not a laptop.. it's a mac.

Apple seems to be the only people offering 2.4ghz. But I've only looked on Dell and newegg.

I would rather have the Dell I specd out over the Apple. Even if they were the same price. The Dell has better specs overall. Basing a laptop on clock speed alone shows that you are ignorant?

I'll go find a link to the bluetooth...
