also, why did you get an Abit board? id say your board is holding you back. you should have no problem hitting 3.5 ghz, albeit, maybe with high vcore.... (ie, my vcore is 1.525 vcore ,9x390, orthos stable)

these are my settings ....

volts=2.10
vcore=1.525
fsb term=1.45
nb=1.55
sb=1.60
chipset=1.215

all settings are on manual. my pci-e bus is locked at 100 mghz, and my pci at 33.3mghz.

now, i can hit 3.9 ghz, with 2.3 v mem, and 1.675 vcore and all other voltages on MAX.... but it wasnt stable, orthos, or windows.... (suicide run)

at 3.6 (9x400) i can get orthos stable for an hour or so and it craps out. temps are at 60c load then. peaking at 62c. my ambient temp at this time is around 25c. i suggest you try speedfan, and report your findings back here.

currently at 3.5 ghz, my load is 57c and idle am at 33c..... ive used all the temp monitoring programs, and i find speedfan is working the best for me. im running vista ultimate.

and Choggs, where is the big turkey leg??? did you finally chow it all down?

Well if you have decent water cooling I wouldn't be surprised if you're idling at 25C. I have an Ultra-120 Extreme and idle at ~22C @ 3.2GHz with the same processor. (1.35 Vcore)

ROFL!!!1 I had it sitting behind the radiator and it was getting stale and making me sick (if you're a Simpson's fan you'll know what I'm talking about... haha).

I just changed it for my Simpson's likeness @ www.simpsonizeme.com. It doesn't seem to work very well though, I tried it about a dozen times and only got it to work once.

hahaha.... I actually fell asleep on the couch earlier and I was headed to bed when I noticed my PC was still on...... so ya I should probably get back to sleep here, considering I have to make it to the post office before noon. (Stupid wedding invitation... )

PS: And sorry if I'm hijacking your thread here, Roxter
