Actually, they do work with AMD processors. That must make it a double TOS breach.

Without the IPod, Apple wouldn't even be in the game. As for the I-Phone, it is just hype. Crappy slow network and garbage battery. Whoever comes out with an I-Phone knockoff on a real cellphone network will kill them. Did people not know that you could use a phone to go on the "actual" internet before the I-Phone? What a joke.

But with so many options of what to do with a PC, you can get driver conflicts or mess with stuff that you shouldn't be messing with (unless you know what you are doing).

However, those phones (like mine) aren't advertised. I can do pretty much everything the Iphone can but without the fingerprinty touch screen, heavy apple software, locked to cingular/ATT (which does suck, I don't know why my sister made my dad switch). I have a removable battery, better camera, availability of third party software, ability to make my own programs, etc.

If you could spell the names of the products you are talking about, I might trust you more.

Provide an argument for such a statement and then you might sound like you know what you're talking about.

If he doesn't care about gaming, like myself, then your argument has already been diffused. People who buy Apples don't buy them to play games. Not everyone's a gamer, so stop pretending that's an argument.

That's why anyone who gets an Apple does; it's all about the extraordinary OS.

Again... Not all people are gamers, and not all people overclock. Oh, and the 8600 in the MacBookPros are decent gaming cards... Coupled with the C2D in the laptop, the MBPs are decent gaming machines. Not as good? Maybe, but you get to run it on OS X

For those who use the classic "No games run on macs, they are so stupid and for stupid work people" excuse, I'd like to tell them to first actually USE a mac for more than 10 seconds. You might like it. And here is a list of games look here.

And now with bootcamp you can run XP and vista almost flawlessly (the problems aren't anything new to a windows user, there will always be problems).

Please make a valid argument when you say "Apple is for losers" or "Macs suck... I don't know why... they just do." Your just wasting our time.

Thanks, and I end this epic post (ready for flaming galore) saying that I am on a mac right now, and I'm proud of it :-p.

If I come back to this topic, +rep to those who have a good reason why to choose Windows over OS X. I accept the problems with price and expandability.
You read my mind. OS X is definitely a superior OS. I'm willing to bet that these people who say "I've used a Mac, so i get to say i hate it," have only touched one for a few seconds at an Apple store. It took me a bit of using one at my friend's house till i realized i was wrong. I'd also like to see people giving valid and appropriate reasons before they argue something they know nothing about.

You mean to tell me XP and vista can't crash firefox or a browser either? Give a real reason or don't talk.

Thread Starter
Well I love my MBP.

The things I hate to heard are, "You can't game on it".
Well I don't game, so I couldn't care less about "its ability to game".
I don't have the time for that, and the same goes for the other students I know studing in Engineering and Computer Science. So we just want something that works, is reliable, and can let us get our work done.

Apple and MS both have different views on software and how to bring it to the consumer. Some people are going to like Apple's take on it, while others will like MS.
So it's useless to try and compair the two or say one is better than the other.
