I need a lot of help Fast Please!!!!!!!!!

I just go to new heat sink and wanted to OC some more and was planing on getting 2.7GHz to day but!!!!!!!!!!!!! My PC is being a realy B****.I had it runnig great at 2.6 but it wont get stable at 2.7GHz.I have tryed everything one site said that 1.4500 volts would do it so i uped the volts, didnt post, then one said 1.5500 so i slow worked my way up (posted at 1.4750) and uped it to 1.5500,still it only lasted about a minute or two in orthos and the temps where maxing out at 48 (I find its save to go up to 55C).Is there somthing that im missing?my DDR2 800 is running at 677@740 somthing MHz with stock timings. All of my othere volts are stock and my OC is 246x11 with HTT@4x.I dont think that its the CPU but there are so many othere options that it could be.I need some help.sould i up the HTT volts? or the chipset volts?or maybe the AUX volts? And if so does any one know by how much? Thanks

Try turning your HTT link to like 4x or what ever is one lower then what is set right now.

Lower your HTT to 3x or 2x...it will help loads for your stability, and

I mean that i have DDR2 800 set it DDR2 667 in the Bios so it lowers the clock speed to 740MHz,i have set the HTT link to x4 i will try x3 or x2 right now.

tighten up the timings on the RAM and bump the Vdimm another .5v, just for giggles..if it doesnt help you can set it back to default setting.

Q- whats the temp of your NB?

It would seem that you've hit the 'easy limit' of your memory controller with that chip. Basically from here on out, you've gotta fight and thrash out every MHz.

What memory subtimings does that board have?

48C and whatis the Vdimm? i dont see a setting for that. But i will should i sett the timings to 444-18-2T or 1T?

It seens that my Volting is a bit off,I have gotten it to post at 2.8GHz at 1.6500 but i have to nock it down to 2.7 becuase of cooling so i dont think its the CPU its self,I think that i need to play with the volts a little more, getting these volts right is like picking a lock.

Also what are subtimings?

SORRY OF ALL THE Qs BUT THIS IS ONLY THE SECOND PC I HAVE OCED AND THIS IS THE HIGHEST I HAVE EVER GOTTEN WITH A AMD CPU.it seems that intels are a little easyer to oc.

Vdimm = DDR voltage

Most BIOS that have really good control options for RAM will allow you to set 8-9 different timing controls for the RAM.

ie- Regular timings = the first 3-4 digits in the latency string (5-5-5-15)

Subtimings are the remainder of the digits in the latency string. In your case your RAM most likely use the following for subtimings- 5-25-8-9-9-9

So in all your settings should read somewhat like this: 5-5-5-15-5-25-8-9-9-9 @ 2.3v, 1066mhz

From my experience with OCZ ddr2, the 6th digit in the timing sequence (tras, i think) can add some stability to your RAM. So if the above timing set doesnt work for you @ 2.3v, try -> 5-5-5-15-5-30-8-9-9-9, if that doesnt work, then-> x-x-x-x-x-35-x-x-x-x, and x-x-x-x-x-42-x-x-x-x.

K i will try the sub timings,Also my ram gets very hot at 1066MHz should i take the ram sinks off? I heard that they cand be worse than just open ram.
