This is right on target IMO. I can't explain why some developers cannot or will not make some games in wide screen (the good way, as explained above), or at least have a patch that will do it. I can see (but certainly don't agree) with the whole "unfair advantage" argument for some multi-player games. But any other reason eludes me, because there are quite a few people out there gaming with wide screen monitors, and it's beginning to become the norm IMO.
