Just saying you are supposed to title your thread with a descriptive title.
For example, Is my rig a bottleneck for an 8800?

you may as well get the 8800 gtx, you'll be able to play any game maxed out at that resolution with a gtx and the processor shouldnt be an issue.

If you can get you 4200+ up to 2.7 and oc you 8800GTS (if thats what you get) you can pull 9000 or more in 3d mark 06,I am in the processe of oc mine to 2.7 right now and with my 8800GTS 320MB i got 9089 in 3D mark and my CPU isent even stable yet.so yes there will be a bottleneck but that will change of you get a Phenomx2/x4 when they come out.

Thanks for the backup Enterprise...
Oh, and I know this may be about more than one topic on the 8800...
But you need to sum it up in the title.
I came in here thinking, what could he want to know about an 8800, turns out it something I really don't feel I know enough about to help. If it had been descriptive, I would have not bothered...
Not meaning to seem to be a jerk, just trying to look out for you (so Enterprise doesn't have to fix more of these type of threads...)
