VGA at 1680x1050?

Thread Starter
Alright...some of you may know I have a PS3, PC, and Samsung 226BW widescreen. i currently have the PS3 setup like in Transonics guide. I was thinking of hooking up one of them to the VGA port so I don't have to unhook cables all the time. Which one? I'm pretty sure Blu Ray movies won't work without HDCP on HDMI or DVI...but I don't have a cable or adapter to test that yet. Should I just use my DVI to VGA adapter for my video card?

1680x1050 is a widescreen resolution...so no

*1600x1200 is a regular proportion though..and should look very nice.

ok then, sorry , missed that from the 1st post.

I use 1680x1050 resolution on my 21" ws/HP. It works fine using the VGA cable...matter of fact, its hooked up to my 630j rig right now, using that res. and the VGA cable...my son's playing 'Battlefront- Starwars' on it..looks good to me.

I'll have to find my adapter then....

I edited in that it was widescreen after you made that post. I thought people would assume that I had a widescreen.
