Would RAIDs work if I switched MoBo? - Page 2

If you are able to preinstall the new controller drivers in the existing OS config, there is a chance the OS will boot, the challenge will be how the controller actual deals with the Array, this you will have to enable for the same type, stripe size ... it has worked back in the days of the DFI nF4 which also had the Silicon controller... of course the other big challenge for the OS is then to install all the new HW it finds ... back up your data first (as you always do) .. and a fresh install is a nice way to do some house cleaning

fresh install is the way to go... what sux is that I got my current optimized customized and coolifikied more than I've ever had any prior install...

But if it gives me the chance to go up by 0.6GHz per core than I should **** and do it right?
