I would not go any higher than 1.5V on air and 1.6V on water for 24/7 use.

You earned yourself a rep from me. I have been trying to find an answer to this same question for 3days. I kinda figured 1.5 was pushing it.

Thanks.

But, you must keep below 60ºC while at those voltages =)

Sorry to reopen this thread but i would like to know if you mean 1.5V in the bios or in CPUZ? For me when i put a number like 1.475 in the bios it shows up as 1.376 in CPUZ.

1.5V in the bios I believe. This is not a set line though it's not necessary always safe at 1.5v The difference in CPUZ is called the Vdrop I believe.

And yeah myself and other OCN members have gotten to 3.6Ghz on air with stock voltage. I run mine at 3.4Ghz below stock.

The actual voltage would be what you see in CPU Z, that's after the vdrop. The board makes the vdroop to "protect itself".

yea i can run my e6550 @ 3ghz w/ 1.13v i got a nicely binned chip
