OK to use same power cable for HD and CD?

Thread Starter
I have a modular power supply, the one listed in my sig. I'm wondering if it's ok to use the same cable to supply power to a hard drive and a cd drive? I'm assuming its ok..

also, if anyone has the same PS, I'm having trouble connecting the PCI-E from my video card to the PS itself. It goes into the card fine, but not the PS. Is it just being difficult?

1) Yes.

2) Sorry, don't have the same PSU.

Maybe show us a picture of the sockets on the PSU with the PCIe cable next to it? If no one else with the same PSU comes around, that is.
