Mine was more stable at HT multi 4x 1264Mhz than HT multi 3x 965Mhz when I got to 3Ghz.If that doesn't help you probably need more vcore.

But for me i have come to the conclusion that my temps are reporting 10c higher than they actually are. In between oc's i test with OCCT and i have topped out at 59c for 30 minutes and passed.
I also use digital doc hardware to help watch my temps but for right now i'll stick with my gut feeling which tells me they are actually lower.

As for temp drops if you just reapplied as5 it give it 100/200 hours of hot - cold and you might see it go down 2/3c more.
I'll give the cpu time to alternate hot/cold and see what happens. I was almost to the point of getting a new cooler or switching cpu/mobo to one that doesn't have the temp problem, but this deal is just too good to pass up.
I've used OCCT once and passed the 30 min stress test but afterwards speedfan went way crazy and reported a temp of 127c! Thanks for the suggestions though.
Slightly OT, what is the relationship of the 2 core temps to the single cpu temp?

Yes, that was the fix!
Changing the ht from 3x to 4x made all the difference and she's lovin it. It even seems to boot just a little quicker too!

O BTW: I couln't get a good pic when the processor was expossed so i wrote it down and i hope these are the #'s for my stepping.
