PS3 on my monitor..Would this work ?

Hey there guys. I have a 19'' LCD vga screen which I would like to hook up to my PS3. Now rather than getting one of those rather price converters would this work just as good :

This: http://www.tvcables.co.uk/cgi-bin/tvcables/VGA-DVI.html

To convert my monitor to a DVI connector type

Then this : http://www.avukltd.com/category/prod...emale__t25.htm

To connect my PS3 HDMI up to the DVI cable.

In theory isnt that ok. Im a noob at this so please excuse the noobness.

Thanks guys.

Hmm... it should work, assuming that both adapters go both way. Of course, there's no reason the wouldn't.

Only issue would be the usual issue of hooking a system up to a PC monitor, and that's the differences in resolution. Are you playing on a standard TV right now? Then it will definitely be better. However, if you try to go from a decent HDTV to that, you may not be happy with the image quality. Just a bit of a caution.

Im to poor for a HDTV at current. Im running a lame HDTV and its poor...really poor. So with those exact links I specified above I should be good to go in theory yes. I made sure I got the Male and Femal all sorted so it should be as easy as connecting it all up.

After researching this for my own use, I realized that HDMI will not work with analog signals (VGA.) Look for a RGB to VGA connector.

Edit: I may be wrong though...

I have looked for that kind of cable myself before but I couldnt locate one. Have you got a link at hand by any chance. ?

You could use something like this http://www.nextag.com/vga-to-rgb-cable/search-html

With something like this http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...entPage=family

I haven't found one that has the correct ends on the VGA cable yet though.
