Yeah, this topic reminds me of the Cedar Mill versus Presler argument back in the day. Should I got for the high clocking single core Cedar Mill (Pentium 4 630-670) or should I go for the dual core Presler (Pentium D 920-950).
I went with the Presler, I think it was a smarter move. I am now going with the Q6600, again, I think that will be a smarter move. Almost all of my applications seem to have some form of multi-CPU support, and many things simply do not perform well even with a 3.6Ghz Core 2 Duo (FSX, SupCom, Pro|Engineer with large assemblies)
