If you were so inclined, you can get the board here. I've dealt with them before and their service is good.

Hope this helps!

Ok After running cpuz on my fathers pc it tells me that his is also not running in dual channel as well. This is indeed strange. Alot of other fourms say that running ram in slots a2 and b2 works better but that kinda defies reason. What is your divider set to?

I bought this board OEM/OpenBox so it was only $97.00. I was thinking This Site. Has anyone delt with them?

My MOBO is A1-A2 B1-B2. My board will only let me run single channel which is B1-B2.

If you click My Current Rig, you can see my ram in my MOBO.

OK. I just checked newegg and I found this. They just went out of stock for a day.

I just thought of something:

Just to make sure, did you put the DIMMs in the same colored slots? There are blue slots and black slots. Use either both blue or both black with identical (matched pair) DIMMs to enable dual channel function.

(The reason I mention this is because some boards don't have it set up this way. I have an Abit that is different; for that KN8 SLI, adjacent slot pairs are the dual channel slots.)

I tried ever combination known to man.

I will probably send it out this week and I will not have a computer for a week or 2. because if I install my old MOBO, I will have to reformat my hard drive. I might just use my old computer parts to build a pretty fast temp computer. AMD 64 2.2 3700+/ASUS A8V/Corsair 2GB/20GB HDD.

My 120GB HDD is broken, I actually sent an RMA but they never send me one and I did this in November 2006.

My old mothebroard was and ASUS A8V and now I have an Nvidia chipsets plus sli availability.
The only thing it could be is a bad RAM slot or bad path in the board. The only way to fix it is to RMA it.
I'd try to get the board that you linked if new egg will let you exchange it and hope for the best.
You could use a better PSU, that would help. 300w isn't much for that board and I'd say that's the problem if you didn't get both RAM sticks to work in single channel.
Does it work with both in a1 and a2?

Did you check to see if your RAM is set to SLI mode in the bios? Sometimes that can cause problems. Also with the extra chipset for dual 16x lanes I def think 300w is way to low. The recommended for that board is 500w and that is what I used on that board and never had an issue with it at all.

I guess you didn't see my other posts. I am doing an overhaul on my PC. Corsair 520W/Windows Vista Home Premium/EVGA 8800GTS 640MB/Antec 900 Case.

I bought it OpenBox/OEM so I can't do a replacement. I am sending it for a refund then buying a new one, same price.

Hope your "new" motherboard treats you right. It's a honey of a board.

Good luck!
