i recentley done my first build. i have a core 2 duo e4400 2.0ghz x 2
kingston 1gb ddr2 667mhz pc2/5300
ASRock ConRoe1333-DVI/H i945G Socket 775
can anyone please tell me how much i should be able to overclock this chip

You'll be limited by your mobos lack of overclocking features, no Voltage adjustments. You probably have a couple voltage settings, such as Auto/High/Low for the FSB and Ram, set those to high.
About all you can do is bump the FSB up until it's no longer stable, back it down until it is.
Also if you're not using the integrated graphics, disable it.

Don't max out your voltages straight away, only raise them a little when you encounter instability. Either way, your motherboard is definately capable of 1066FSB, so I expect you should be able to manage running your E4300 at 2.66GHz.

His board has an FSB limit, probably 300, as most Asrocks do.
Likely though it will never be stable at anything close to that.
