Could you please be a little more specific? At what point in the windows XP installation procedure are you unable to continue, and what error messages are you getting?

Gotta reformat the drive to windows xp's nfts. apparently the nfts from vista is not compatible with windows xp (so i've heard from a friend, i tried it, and it really ddint work.) also, make sure ALL your settings are completely at stock, especially the memory and the cpu. overclocking can botch up a windows XP installation, BIG TIME.

First off, Take time to edit your post an correct the spelling\\Grammar. You need to erase Vista to allow XP to be installed. Or you can create 2 proportions and have one proportion be vista and the other XP. Windows Vista disk allows you to remove\\Delete data on a hard drive. Hope this was some what helpful..

You might need the SATA RAID drivers for your motherboard. You should visit Asus's homepage to obtain these. Once you have them you simply need to put them onto a floppy disc and load them from the floppy when the XP installation procedure asks you to press one of the F keys to load any RAID drivers.
