check your bios settings. not exactly sure what mb your using but check your ide/sata settings. my bios has the option for standard or raid.

You guys don't get it, it boots from the cd and all but when it gets to the part where you have to create the partition and stuff, it says unknown disc in the drive and if you push anything it gives a BSOD.

did u try a different copy of windows? check the disk for dirt and scratches

Does the screen you're looking at look like the image below?



If so, does only one partition space show up?

The only other explanations I can think of for your problem is that you could be trying to install XP from a manufacturers installation CD or something.

what copy of windows xp do you have upgrade/oem/retail?

Yep maybe...but if thats not the case,i dont think they are useing the western digi reformat discto reformat..sometimes you have to use the western digi reformat disc.

They should have an iso of the program on the site,just download it & burn it to a disc & use it.
Umm have u ever use that xp disc to install from boot?if not then its a upgrade version that gotta upgrade through windows.
