hmmmm 3 times as fast....... hah lol highly doubt it. I'll wait to see specs. but for now am preparing for those games that will "need" dx10. booooooooooooo. I also need sumthing that can run those higher resolutions easily for the kind of monitor am gonna get. and oh by the way i see some gtx's thathave stock clocks higher than some ultras. and the ultra still outperforms?

I would just get a 8800GTX, never buy the best Video Card because it will be outdated in a few months. The 8800GTX is already a top of the line card so why pay more for a little better performance.

Do not buy a GeForce 7-series graphics card retail, whatever you do.

Thats what i was thinkin. us poor ppl think alike. Isn't the ultra a great overclocker as well? if so even when it inevitably gets out of date I'll be able to push its performance higher.
Am not too worried about the money part because by the time am ready to get the new card i'll probably be ready to swap my mobo,7950, and cpu into another case and sell em. will get a quad core setup. don't know whether intel or amd yet. (current amd dual core pisses me off temp wise). and a board like the p5k series or its amd counterpart (if amd shapes up with this phenom release). This post is to help me narrow down what gfx card i'll need to make that setup crisp.

If you wanted to save a bit of money you can get a 2900xt which is about 175 less or so. It performs better than the GTS and a little bit lower than the GTX. I run one now with 1680x1050 and everything I throw at it gives me good fps.

Nah. Stickin with nvidia gpu's for now. from the reviews even those 1 gig ati 2900's can't out perform low/mid level 8800's let alone the ultra's.
Whats the deal with ati and amd. couple years ago i was kickin myself for havin an intel system.

Ultra is hot bro, get GTX. I agree with everyone who recommended GTX. Ultra is not worth the extra $$.

My GTX ran everything beautifully on 1680x1050 bro! Definitely would recommend GTX over ULTRA.

if you buy the ultra at NCIX, it's only 20 bucks more than the gtx.
