SuperPi performance is nearly linear of the CPU Mhz speed. it's easy to prove with 2 CPU of the same technology like 2x Core 2 tests.
4Ghz x 13.02 sec = 52.08
2.4Ghz x 22.53 = 54.08
Very close. The difference is due to the memory timmings and straps used but nothing groundbreaking it show very well how the test is dependant on the CPU power on top of anything.
For each MHz, the Core 2 is 172% faster than the AMD X2 CPU's
Actually SuperPi is very bad in general in AMD.. You would know that if you took your head out of your arse.
SuperPi relies heavily on the Cache and has always worked better for Intel..
In real world environments a processor like the FX at 2.8 is just as good as your Core 2 e66.. and a few seconds honestly won't give a damn.
EDIT: And another thing, how the heck did you pull the K8 needs to be almost double to equal a C2D.
This isn't PentD and K8 X2's.. Remember that.. So no I don't need 4GHz to be at the same power as you.. I do need more than you but not double.. So please.. Besides it's nearly impossible to get K8 to 3.2+Ghz so 4 is just stupid to say. And with an attitude.
