TV Tuner help please!

Hi everybody, my first post + I am a computer retard, have mercy! I have a
HP Pavilion a1710n and I just purchased an Acer AL2216WBD 22" monitor to go with it. I want to use this bad boy as a television, what would be the most cost effective way to get this done? Again I am a comp noob, until now I have only owned a lappy. I would greatly appreciate any opinions on either a relatively cheap pci card or even a usb 2.0 that supports all my monitor has to offer. Running wndows vista (xp soon) and a crappy onboard Geforce 6150 LE if that makes a difference.

Thank you, and look forward to learning a lot in the forums!

The Hauppauge PVR-150 is a pretty good and decently cheap tuner. Your monitor's res really doesn't matter since the tuner will just upscale from TV res (720x480 IIRC). There are a few HDTV tuners, but they only take HD input from the air channels and are more expensive

Thank you for the extremely fast response! So despite the monitor's resolution it will be scaled to 720x480 then eh? That explains why I was having a difficult time finding something....it doesnt exist! That seems like a reasonable deal, I assume the Geforce will support the monitor correctly?

As far as a usb option goes, will this work ok? http://cgi.ebay.com/New-USB-2-0-TV-T...QQcmdZViewItem

Really am just looking for a cheap way to watch tv, and occasionally play some 360 tbh.

Thanks again!
